'It's ok to touch'

These interactive posters use a range of print methods, including a UV gloss varnish, fluorescent green spot varnish and a metallic silver conductive which enables it to become interactive. This poster uses known print processes in a very different manor to the normal, thus resulting in a very different and unique outcome. This poster would have been litho printed due to the use of both spot colours and UV varnish, as this is not available for digital print.

THIS A1 PRINT WAS DESIGNED BY BUILD AS PART OF "INTERAPHICS", AN INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION BY DIGITAL DESIGN AGENCY, OSMOTRONIC.

A matte white has been printed onto gold mirror board. The contrast between the two is what makes this the print it is. Only one colour is required to print this, yet the reflection of the gold mirror creates a whole other set of colours.

This print uses two colours and the traditional process of letterpress and type setting. This is fine for a small print run, however, if this were to go into commercial print and have large print run then it would have to be litho printed. It is the use of the colour in this poster design that makes it work and gives it two ways in which it can be read.

Promotional booklet for a paper collection. Hand bound and presented in short-fall slipcase, the booklet utilises 16 papers and plastic substrates. It is printed using offset litho and various ink, foil and finishing combinations (foil blocking screen uv varnishing and micro perforations throughout). There are many print processes utilised here so the cost is going to be very high, however, it does make for a beautifully crafted design.
